Animal nature

"Man could never do without blood, torture, and sacrifices when he felt the need to create a memory for himself"(p. 61 Nietzsche).

The quotation displays the instinct of man. It brings of the animal nature that is present in the minds and actions of human beings. These are the actions that re thought of as being long gone during the course of creating civilized societies.
